The March Journal

March has come and gone already - WHAT?! Where oh where is the time going!? I've spent the past month falling into a lovely rhythm in all aspects of life. I’ve been busier than ever before, with university three days a week and work the other four, and honestly - the full diary has me buzzing. Long gone are the days of my chronic laziness and waves of boredom - my free time has become a blessed privilege, not a burden. I’ve been scaling up my priorities to fit them into my free time slots (Tuesday night trivia – HIGH priority) and my days and weeks have found themselves into a pleasantly organised routine.

In "bloggy" news, I put pen to paper last week for a post that addresses a topic that’s been lurking on my conscience for a while. I’m still building up the courage to post it, but since it’s come to fruition I’ve been stirring over the words I’ve strung together, and made me realise how important it is to share them. The post will be up here soon no doubt, and I hope it brings awareness and evokes some thought for you about it's themes.

As a general update, I’m doing really well. There’s still moments every day where I’m giddy over the fact that my life has become this wonderful. I've very comfortably slipped into a city life, and to be in one as brilliant in Melbourne - with all its good food, and outrageously extravagant events, and quirky inhabitants - I count my lucky stars I get to call it home.

PS. I thought I’d add a new edition to spice these monthly journals up a bit by adding my monthly favourites on the things I’ve been listening to, watching, reading and so on! Enjoy!

Monthly Favourites:

Podcast: If you haven’t got on the Podcast bandwagon by now, you’re seriously missing out. I've been binge-listening to Talking Tastebuds - a well-humoured, informative and inspiring health series hosted by the wonderful Venetia Falconer. This month’s episode with Max Lowery was PHENOMENAL.

Movie: In our humble abode, we have a TV that connects only to an old DVD player. So naturally, our nights are spent cosy on the couch behind a good ol’ classic film. This month we were all captivated by the 90’s hit Leon: The Professional – so much so that we watched it TWICE in two days.

Book: As the science noob that I am, I was surprised at how much I adored Giulia Ender’s book, Gut, which very interestingly depicts the wonders of human digestion. A very insightful and engaging read, and one that should be prescribed to ALL humans as to understand the workings of our brilliant bodies.
